Courteney Cox On Emmy Snubs & Aging

Courteney Cox — former “Friend” and star of ABC’s hit new comedy “Cougar Town” — is speaking out about being the only member of the “Friends” ensemble to never receive a Primetime Emmy nomination.
“My ego got really bruised. When everyone did but me, that doesn’t feel good at all,” Courteney said in an interview with Emmy Magazine. “There were certain years I thought, ‘Maybe I have a shot,’ like the Monica-Chandler years. But I don’t know how it happens and why… maybe I wasn’t ready.”
Courteney, 46, looks simply stunning on the cover of Issue No.4 of 2010’s Emmy Magazine series, but told the mag that “aging is nobody’s friend.”
“One second ago I was the youngest person on the set, and now I’m the oldest,” she said. “I’m so old, my joints hurt when I keep my legs crossed a certain way for too long. I need glasses to see a movie, to see the computer and to read a book. I was like really?”
The blue-eyed brunette also spoke about her reasons for not pursuing big screen films like her best friend and former “Friends” co-star, Jennifer Aniston, and how her confidence has increased with age.
‘I always talked myself out of going in to read. I don’t know if I had that much confidence,” Courteney said. “I was always thinking that I needed to do something else, be more mysterious… [Today] I’m much more content.”

Courteney Cox: 'Johnny Depp is adorable'

Courteney Cox has reportedly revealed that Johnny Depp is her secret celebrity crush.
The former Friends star, who is married to actor David Arquette, joked to People that she thinks Depp is "adorable".
"He's my favourite actor of our day. He's it. Don't get me wrong, I'm in love with my husband, but Johnny Depp is adorable!" she said.
The Cougar Town actress also revealed that her current favourite song is 'Empire State Of Mind' by Jay-Z and Alicia Keys, explaining: "My daughter can sing Alicia's whole part - I don't even know how she knows the words!"
Cox recently suggested that 5-year-old Coco could become an actress in the future, saying: "She's so dramatic already. She laughs hard. She pouts hard. She cries hard. She loves hard. If she can't find something, it's the end of the world."

Courteney Cox and David Arquette considering adopting another child

Courteney Cox plays a man-hungry divorcee on the prowl in "Cougar Town," but off-screen, the actress is a doting wife and mother who may be expanding her brood.
Cox’s husband, actor David Arquette, recently revealed the couple has been considering giving their 5-year-old daughter, Coco, a little sister or brother.
Cox, 45, underwent in-vitro fertilization for her first pregnancy at age 39.
"I don't know. I mean, it takes a lot for us to do it, so maybe adoption," Arquette, 38, said on "The Bonnie Hunt Show." "Listen, I like practicing as much as possible! But it's hard ... I'm exhausted!"
Last year, the National Enquirer reported that the couple was planning to adopt a child after Cox "reached a point where she feels it’s hopeless to keep trying to get pregnant."
Though at the time, the actress’ rep called the story "a complete fabrication," it seems as though Arquette is now singing a different tune.
As for what makes his 9-year marriage to Cox so successful, Arquette credits hard work and commitment.
"There's a lot to relationships in general. You just have to really work at them. They're not easy, and you have to ... be kind to each other and ... figure out what each other's ... buttons are and figure out how not to push them," he said. "You can't leave your heart open. You have to be committed."

Perry Turns Down Cougar Town

Courtney Cox's new series Cougar Town has taken off, and as the execs are looking at where to take the show in the future, the possibility of a Friends reunion between Matthew Perry and Courtney Cox was pursued.
Perry and Cox acted together on Friends for 10 years, and as an on-screen couple dated and eventually married in the seventh season.
Matthew Perry turned down the offer to rekindle the on-screen romance with Courtney Cox, however. Cox told Us Weekly that he thought it might be a little too much after their relationship on Friends.
That's not keeping one of Cox's other "friends" from appearing on the show Lisa Kudrow is slated to appear on Cougar Town in the near future.

Cox Shuts Down Production

Production on the TV series Cougar Town has been suspended while star Courteney Cox attends to a family matter.
While there has been no confirmation as to what the family matter is, an ABC representative did issue this statement:
"We can confirm production on Cougar Town has been temporarily shut down in order for Courteney to deal with a private family matter."
Since the matter has not been revealed, speculation has been going two ways: marital or pregnancy problems. Cox, 45, has been what appears to be happily married to David Arquette, 38, for ten years and the two of them have a 5 year old daughter, Coco. ... Read More ...

Lisa Kudrow Stopping By Cougar Town!

It’s not an actual Friends reunion, but I’ll take it: Lisa Kudrow has signed on to guest star opposite ex-Friend Courteney Cox on Cougar Town, an ABC spokesperson confirms.
“She’ll play a dermatologist that my character can’t stop going to even though [she's] mean to me,” Cox told tvguidemagazine.com.
The Cox-Kudrow reunion episode will shoot next month and air in early 2010.
